One Writer · Three Read-Only Critics# BRIEF — Enforce Hardware Read-Only Flags on Non-Worker Slots Goal: Ensure PLANNER, REVIEWER, and SCOUT cannot mutate the repository even if a prompt attempts tool execution. Constraints: Keep WORKER as the sole repository writer. Pass baton to Slot 2 (PLANNER) for file:line specification.
Lab Architecture
01 · Governance by Slot
Giving ten agents write access to the same repository creates a merge-conflict factory. neomagic tools separate framing, specification, implementation, and adversarial verification into distinct slots with enforced CLI permissions.
02 · Local Sovereignty
Harnesses run through the official local CLIs already installed on the workstation. Credentials stay in their native OS stores; subprocess environments are scrubbed; nothing routes through an external relay server.
03 · Inspectable State
Agents do not improvise hidden conversations. Every transition writes an inspectable Markdown baton on disk and pauses in the next column’s input bar until a human operator releases it.
